Fushimi is a minimalist design created by France-based designer Ferréol Babin. This is a unique piece made for “Favoris”, an exhibition and auction event organized by Moustache. Fushimi is a small container made from a solid piece of wood found around Fushimi Inari, Japan. The wood has been carved by hand and burnt to reveal its essence. the piece then stands on two small feet lacquered in the same bright orange that can be seen on the traditional Japanese Torii.
