House in Kashiwa is a minimalist residence located Chiba, Japan, designed by ai/yuki CHIDA. The home is characterized by an asymmetrical gabled roof with an open adjacent plot for parking. The angle of the roof was designed in order to maximize sunlight for the attached solar panels. In addition, the section of the roof over the main dining and kitchen area is semi-transparent, allowing an abundant amount of natural lighting into the space.
