Chamber – Part III of Collection #3, titled “Domestic Appeal,” curated by Basel and London-based designer Matylda Krzykowski is set to open March 2nd. We are upset, however, that the gallery’s owner, Juan Garcia Mosqueda, will not be present for the opening. On February 23rd, 2017, Mosqueda, a legal immigrant and resident of New York City for over 10 years, was detained for 14 hours by customs agents, and sent back to Argentina the following day.

The gallery is set to feature works by Andy and Dave, Ferréol Babin, Dimitri Bähler, Chen Chen & Kai Williams, Tom Hancocks, Jochen Holz, Carl Emil Jacobsen, James Shaw +Soft Baroque, Bertille Laguet, Lucas Maassen & Margriet Craens, Florian Milker, Edgar Mosa, and Raw Color. Domestic Appeal will explore groups of objects that are possibly as desirable now as the items featured prominently in Hamilton’s work half a century ago, at the dawn of the modern consumer age.

In an effort to spread Mosqueda’s experience, we have posted his open letter below:
