Crossing Axes on the Hill is a minimalist residence located in Nagoya, Japan, designed by DIG Architects. The site is situated on a hillside, and overlooks a public park. The architects initially conceived the architecture strictly from a single column, and then constructed the required spaces along the gridded axes. The angled roof provides double-height ceilings with the ground floor visually transparent to the upper level.
