House in Hanekita is a minimalist house located in Okazaki, Japan, designed by Katsutoshi Sasaki + Associates. The architects wanted to utilize the surrounding environment to the advantage of the building’s site. A large park is located behind the structure, and as such, the architects placed large glazing doors to provide views to the garden. A unique characteristic of the interior involves a series of knee-high walls that are placed in a maze-like matrix to separate the space into smaller sections.
