House of Inari is a minimal home located in Ehime, Japan, designed by Taichi Nishishita Architect & Associates. While the north and south side of the site had significant depth, buildings were built on both, significantly limiting line of sight. As a result, the architects decided to maintain focus of the mountain ranges as a sense of connection to nature for the residents. In addition, the architects wanted to create connections with the various gardens surrounding the home. Even within the darker recesses of the home, abundant light is visible during the day, allowing the residents to enjoy the light from afar.
