House in Ohno is a minimalist house located in Gifu, Japan, designed by Airhouse. The region is known for its production of persimmons, surrounded mostly by a mountainous landscape. The architects wanted to provide a large rooftop held up by seven pillars. They also wanted to create a private dwelling without losing a sense of openness within the interior. The persimmons surrounding the home actually acts as a buffer between the residents and outside pedestrians.
