House with a Kura is a minimal home located inGosho-Higashi, Japan, designed by CASE-REAL. The clients are a creative director involved in many food related projects, and the other a gallerist who has been introducing traditional craftsmanship of Japan. The architects aimed to create a new space where the clients could face their profession of “food” and “lifestyle”.  A place where multi-functions (a gallery, tearoom, office and guest room) influence each other. For the overall design plan, the office was placed on the second floor, and a tearoom with a counter to sit six guests on the ground floor, a gallery space to exhibit pottery and everyday tools, and a guest room was created.
