Miura House is a minimalist residence located in Kanagawa, Japan, designed by Hagiwara Kenji Building Research Institute. The house is characterized by an interior courtyard that allows natural light to enter the space without compromise to privacy. The courtyard extends from the ground floor, and opens up on the roof. As a result, the upper levels have partial visual transparency of the ground floor and vice-versa. The upper level seamlessly extends out into a balcony through a series of glazed sliding doors, forming a continuous loop around the courtyard.
