Okubo Animal Hospital is a minimalist design located in Gunma, Japan, designed by Kengo Kuma and Associates. This hospital aims to be a place that can firmly establish a meaningful relationship between people and animals. The architects designed a bright, friendly space by using natural materials such as wood and washi paper. As a result, the wooden box evokes a “house,” with its roof thrusting deep into the air, far from a more conventional image of a hospital.
