Riku Cafe is a minimalist coffee shop located in Iwate, Japan, designed by Naruse Inokuma Architects. The cafe was popular within its community, and unfortunately received severe damage from a recent earthquake. The rehabilitation of the space includes a wooden wall that includes signatures and captions from the locals. The reconstruction would see a new base of customers as well as visitors from outside of the city to attend events within the space.
