Roof on the Horizon is a minimalist house located in Miyagi, Japan, designed by Urban Architecture Planning Partnership. The residence is characterized by a ground floor that is located underground. The South and West side of the site are surrounded by forest reserves while the main road is a public school bus route for middle and high school students. The architects wanted to focus on the natural surroundings, thus designing the back side of the home so that it consists almost entirely of glass.
