Sakanoue Terrace is a minimal architecture project located in Tokyo, Japan, designed by Naruse Inokuma Architects. The site is situated in an area of Kagurazaka that has an abundance of winding alleys. This building, in particular, is located towards the back of an alley, and needed multiple entry points. The architects also wanted to be conscious of how the building would fit in relation to the surrounding neighborhood. They wanted a structure that would be unique, but also have a connection to the rest of the city.
