Sarugaku Plural Directed Tower is a minimalist architecture project located in Tokyo, Japan, designed by Masatoshi Hirai Architects Atelier. Sarugaku Plural Directed Tower is a timber-clad work-residence mix building, consisting of a shop, a small office, and a multi-family house with a workplace. There are workplaces near the living space; “working” is summoned as part of “living” and they come and go between themselves. Unlike condominiums and office buildings, work-residence mix forms new typologies that inform each other, creating relationships and communication that spans both sides.
