Shawl House is a minimalist residence located in Ehime, Japan, designed by y+M. The clients are a married couple with their two children. The architects designed a large roof, acting as a shawl that gently covers the house to ensure good ventilation and lighting while simultaneously maintaining the client’s privacy. The roof also separate the outdoor space into three sections: the inner garden, spot garden, and terrace.
