Toda House is a minimalist house located in Hiroshima, Japan, designed by Office of Kimihiko Okada. The site is located in a residential area developed on a gentle perch overlooking a far view of the Inland Sea and Miyajima. The land of this area is developed into platforms with several levels. The architecture was requested to have a view over the roof of the neighboring house, which stands one level lower. The clients also wanted the architects to consider security due to the site being located at the edge of the residential area. Lastly, they wanted the home to have additional space for extension when the client opens a small shop in the future.
