Topological Folding House is a minimalist residence located in Hyogo, Japan, designed by Takashi Yamaguchi & Associates. The architects wanted to create an open and expansive interior space, and accomplished this by forming internal voids built between the levels. An internal courtyard provide abundant natural light to enter the space without compromising privacy. The form is characterized by a continuation of the roof from one floor to the next, emphasizing a sloped aesthetic.
