Well is a minimalist house located in Tokyo, Japan, designed by architecture atelier akio takatsuka. This residence is designed around the themes of light, sound, and green within an urban living environment. The project explores a unique housing typology which offers comfort in the familiar but hard context of Japanese cities. Most sunlight enters the residence from the sky. The three storys are stacked and are sticking-out and set-back in places to create triangular openings above. Changes in the natural light from the sky, are reflected in the interior of the residence where the light ranges in brightness from gentle shifts to brilliant diagonal rays.
