Y9-House is a modern renovation located in Fukuoka, Japan, designed by Architect Show. The home is connected to a pediatrics clinic owned by the client. The building is surrounded by other existing structures on three sides, thus forcing the architects to create internal courtyards within. Slit windows were placed in a random pattern on the second and third floors to prevent crime and protect the privacy of the inner space.
