Minimalistic form and light engineering is combined with the 'Ugol' lamp created by Yaroslav Misonzhinikov of St. Petersburg, Russia. The lamp fits onto a standard table, and works by putting the lamp on one of the table corners and angling it so that it rests on its own weight.Ugol means “corner” in Russian language. The lamp is a beautiful piece that is simple, elegant, and helps clear up floor space, much like a drafting desk lamp. Design firm Fetiche, which means an inanimate object worshiped for its supposed magic powers or because it is inhabited by a spirit, has created this beautiful minimalistic lamp combination called the 'Guarda Luz'. The lamp is completely hand made using traditional glass blowing techniques. The finished glass is then dipped into a waxy rubber, creating the lamp shade, and final product that sits on top of a flat surface unassisted. (6)

Surprisingly the family room is located on the second floor, and not the ground. The ground floor contains private rooms such as master bedroom and guest bedrooms. There is a rooftop space that houses an additional two courtyards. The same wooden panel of the living room ceiling is used in the bathrooms to create the appearance of a continuous space. This design technique allows the occupants to forget that they are in the city, which is inherently very hard to achieve. (4)

Yacht House is a contemporary home themed opposite of the Soviet Regime's brutal architecture. The 875 sq meter apartment complex creates an block-like feature on the Crimean shoreline. It houses four rental apartments arranged around tall yacht storage at ground level. 7 Units is a residential project in Luxembourg that was constructed for modern suburban living. The exterior uses light fiber wire cement panels, which attribute to its monolithic look.
