Arcade Mirror is a minimalist mirror designed by Brooklyn-based studio Bower. An arcade, in architectural terms, is a succession of arches, each counter-thrusting the next, supported by columns, piers, or a covered walkway enclosed by a line of such arches on one or both sides. Arcades date back to at least the Ancient Greek architecture of the Hellenistic period, and were much used by the Romans, notably in the Colosseum. Church cloisters and Islamic mosques very often feature arcading as well. In Renaissance architecture, elegant arcading was often used as a prominent feature of facades, and today, they continue being used for their structural integrity and iconic spirit.
