Cloak is a minimalist side table designed by Samuel Wilkinson for Denmark-based company versus. The design is characterized by metal legs neatly surrounding a single wooden leg. The table-top, which is constructed of MDF and wrapped with sheet metal on its edges, contrasts nicely with the single-leg solid wood base. The legs are laser-cut steel with a powder-coated finish. I’ve seen a few asymmetrical tripod side tables lately, including my recent entry on Ashizawa’s Tre, and I must say the aesthetic fits specifically for side tables. I can’t expect this same design to work on a rounded dining table or coffee table. The aesthetic on Cloak speaks for itself – sleek lines, clean materials, and an ultra-modern design.
