Collection EQUUS is a minimalist furniture collection designed by Latvia-based designer Armands Grūbe. The designer’s ideology toward furniture production revolves around sustainability, functionality, and transformability. EQUUS encompasses these convictions alongside easy mobility and ergonomics. No glue or screws were used, but instead, a traditional dovetail splice from ancient Latvian masters was incorporated. The collection includes benches, tables, shelves, trestles, and wardrobe items (clothes-rack and box).

I’m always waiting for a no-name designer to come out of nowhere and be the next big deal. It’s incredibly difficult to make a name for yourself in the design world, so I can say with certainty that it brings me joy to promote up-and-coming designers I believe in, such as Armands Grūbe. This collection is furniture in its purist form. I love that these designs don’t need any glue, screws, or hinges, and can still look incredible.
