D117 is a minimalist design created by New York-based designer David Hsu. The desk has a solid rift-sawn white oak top surface. The designer integrated a secondary surface as an area to place peripherals and monitors. There is also an integrated cable chamber in which both power and USB can be charged directly within the desk. (5)

David Hsu is a student of life: inspired and influenced by environments and the people within. Born in Taiwan, raised in New Zealand, he received a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Columbia University in the City of New York. Longing to make a more meaningful impact on the world, he returned to school and received a master’s degree in Industrial Design from the Pratt Institute.
