Dragonfly is a minimalist design created by Italy-based designer Odo Fioravanti. The design of this new chair, appropriately named “Dragonfly”, was derived from observations made on dragonflies, whose bodies are characterized by an imbalance in weight distribution between the front legs and their extended tail. From this formal suggestion derived the idea of a cantilever with four legs joined on the front of the chair and a seat that seems to cheat the force of gravity. (1)
