Kazimir Chandelier is a minimal chandelier created by Brooklyn-based designers Ladies & Gentlemen. Named after the Russian artist Kazimir Malevich, the chandelier is the result of experimentation with complexity, layering and an interest in geometric abstraction. The design explores an “elemental complexity” through a 3-piece collage of textured and dichroic plated glass shapes, arranged around an illuminated triangular frame. The resulting arrangement celebrates layering of shape, texture and color. “Complexity” lies at the intersection of the three elemental forms, inviting one to interact with the piece by walking around it, in order to see how the shape and composition transforms.
