Piraeus Chair is a minimal chair created by Paris-based designer Leonard Kadid. Leonard Kadid is a french architect and industrial designer based in Paris, France. He studied at the Polytechnic School of Lausanne EPFL in Switzerland and the Architecture School EAVT in Paris. In 2011 he was exhibited in China for the first Beijing International Design Triennial curated by Benjamin Loyauté for his Bookmark Lamp. The Piraeus chair is made of solid oak and bent steel profiles. Like a boat structure, the side panels of the seat are joined around a massive keel. This core element comprises two slots to fit the steel profiles.
