Designer: Kenyon Yeh

Pushpin Cork is a minimalist design created by Taiwan-based designer Kenyon Yeh. The design’s inception originated from the basic inspiration of the two items described in the name of the design: a pushpin and wall cork. The designer fused the two elements together and played around with its size and function. The resulting design uses the two formal functionalities of the pushpin and cork in an interesting new manner.
I love getting these amazing submissions from such talented designers. I have a thing for cork. The material is cheap, natural-looking, and versatile. In addition, the texture of cork is soft to the touch. I would usually prefer cork be used in smaller applications such as office accessories, but I’m having second thoughts now that I’ve seen this magnificent design.
