Name: Radient Table Lamp

Designer: Rich Brilliant Willing

Location: New York, NY

Founded in 2007 by Alexander Williams, Theo Richardson and Charles Brill, Rich Brilliant Willing is one of America’s leading contemporary design manufacturers. Based out of their Lower East Side Manhattan studio, RBW oversees every aspect of development from design, to production, to distribution. This way, they’re able to maintain their simple yet aesthetically pleasing design vision.

Radient is a small T-shaped table lamp that has a flat, circular shade made of oak or walnut. Both wood finishes are paired with a blackened steel base in a geometrically reduced form that maintains the language and iconography of RBW. While having just one of these is good enough, Radient can also be used in a constellation format that heightens its minimal nature. From the office to the living room, Radient is a quirky lamp that fills any space with a warm and expressive lighting effect.

Coming in at just 13 inches high, Radient makes for the perfect sized lamp that can fit anywhere. One would think that based on its exquisite design it wouldn’t be completely functional. However, it does exactly what it’s supposed to; illuminate the area around it.

About the Author – Kyle Troutman

I was used to being around his closest contractor buddies and making the usual Home Depot trips with him on the weekends. So, instead of becoming a designer (or even an architect), editing and following design trends became my passion. I’ve worked at Country Living magazine, founded and edited a men’s magazine at my college, and now work in design PR.
