Skale by Sarah Böttger

Name: Skale

Designer: Sarah Böttger

Location: Wiesbaden, Germany

Sarah Böttger is a promising up-and-coming product designer known for her simple and practical approach to design. While her products look exquisitely effortless, every detail is carefully thought out and designed so that each piece expresses its own unique identity.

Skale, one of Böttger’s latest minimalist designs can be used in a number of ways. It can act as a wardrobe, side table, shoe shelf or even an easy way to display your favorite ensemble. Skale is made of one principal piece that has been manipulated into different shapes and scales. The entire coated metal body can be thought of as three pieces of furniture put into one solid frame.

At the end of the day, its rounded edges, clean lines and flat surfaces make Skale a great fit for small and closet-less spaces.

About the Author – Kyle Troutman

I was used to being around his closest contractor buddies and making the usual Home Depot trips with him on the weekends. So, instead of becoming a designer (or even an architect), editing and following design trends became my passion. I’ve worked at Country Living magazine, founded and edited a men’s magazine at my college, and now work in design PR.
