Spruce by Misewell

Name: Spruce

Designer: Misewell

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Misewell, founded by brothers Vincent and Paul Georgeson in 2008, designs and manufactures furniture that’s all made in America. Besides their belief that functionality and durability come first, their pieces are all fun to live and interact with. They firmly stand by their mantra: Sustainable. Functional. Honest.

At first glance, one would think that Spruce is simply a plain-old coat hanger, but Vincent and Paul designed this clothes tree with functionality and a minimal/industrial aesthetic in mind. Spruce is constructed of a strong powder-coated recycled steel that weighs in at a solid 20 lbs. So whether you hang your scarf, headphones or vintage finds on it, Spruce’s got you covered.

Ideally Spruce won’t take up much space in your home, nor will it wreck the energy of your modern space, as it comes in ivory and charcoal.

About the Author – Kyle Troutman

I was used to being around his closest contractor buddies and making the usual Home Depot trips with him on the weekends. So, instead of becoming a designer (or even an architect), editing and following design trends became my passion. I’ve worked at Country Living magazine, founded and edited a men’s magazine at my college, and now work in design PR.
