I am a huge fan of the simplicity in Scandinavian design. String, designed by Nils Strinning for stringfurniture, is a prime example of simplicity, stability, and modularity.

The structure is light and simple to assemble. The company is Swedish, so I’m assuming that IKEA has some impact on their design culture over there. Flat-pack, being IKEA’s signature competitive advantage, is also explored throughout stringfurniture’s designs.

when more shelf space is needed, simply add an additional side panel and some shelves.
