Name: Torei
Designer: Luca Nichetto
Location: Venice, Italy
Luca Nichetto is a prominent designer who has worked with major design houses like Foscarini, Discipline, Moroso and Cassina, of which Torei is designed for. Nichetto has also participated in various design exhibitions in Europe, Japan and the USA. In 2006 Luca Nichetto launched his own firm, Nichetto & Partners, which specializes in industrial design and consulting projects.
Luca Nichetto, in partnership with his project assistants Francesco Dompieri and Alberta Pisoni, designed the new Torei tables. Classic and modern at the same time, Torei has a solid wood table top and metal rectangle legs. Torei was inspired by the design and function of small serving trays. Torei’s legs are just the right height to comfortably sit next to an armchair or sofa.
As an added bonus, Torei comes in different two different sizes. Because of this, the tables can be arranged in ensembles, or simply used individually as a coffee or end table. Torei comes in raw wood or black wood colors finishes. Nichetto has brought classic design into the modern age.
