Tre is a minimal side table designed by Tokyo-based designer Keiji Ashizawa. The piece comes in either black or white, manufactured in epoxy powder coated steel. A keystone hinge holds the legs and table together to form this solid and impeccable design.

Mr. Ashizawa is my favorite all-time architect. I kid you not, my plan is to work him in the future to design my home and all of the furniture pieces inside it. His architectural work is seductively industrial with a hint of minimalist appeal. With many designers, I will question everything there is to question about the design: the process, influences, inspiration, etc. With Keiji, I just accept. I look at his works, and the thought of questioning his methods doesn’t even come close to my mind.
