Aesop New Bond Street is a minimalist interior located in Bath, United Kingdom, designed by JamesPlumb. As the architects describe, the space is a distillation of the city, a study in Bath stone. Drawn from the city itself. The materiality, the history, the sensibility. The palette of Bath stone underfoot is reclaimed from a Chapel nearby. Embedded with years of congregational footfall and worn with human treads & paths. The sinks, shelves and counters are all made from a single monolithic stone slab, excavated by hands, cut by hands. As such, the saw lines and tooling marks are retained.
