C Apartment is a minimalist house located in Paris, France, designed by Shemaah. The project concerns the rehabilitation and extension of an apartment located in the 17th arrondissement in Paris. The existing surface of 30 m² is completely redesigned and completed by a further decked area in the attic. The project idea is to organize the interior space by functional volume bands. They incorporate storage and make each identifiable entity of the dwelling.

The first functional band is inserted between the input area and living room. It integrates storage cupboards and kitchen furniture accessible from both sides. Wood panels positioned on the walls, floor and ceiling come close this functional unit. The second band is materialized by a staircase that leads to no Japanese space dressing room attic. The underside of the staircase is converted into storage units. The extension of the stairs to the floor, walls and ceiling with wood panels to accentuate and highlight the relationship between the two levels of housing.
