Masters Craft Store is a minimalist shop located in Tokyo, Japan, designed by Akemi Katsuno & Takashi Yagi of love the life. Located inside the Palace Hotel Tokyo, the interior is composed mainly of light materials. Branch-looking extrudes were the main theme of the interior, and can be seen on the ceiling and furniture.

I can already tell which details I love in this minimalist space. Check out the inset lighting  on the perimeter of the ceiling. It overshadows the shelves in an almost halo like fashion. The ceiling ornaments are also pretty interesting – they don’t obstruct the view of  any of the products, but it adds a unique characteristic to the store’s dynamic. Lastly, I appreciate that each product is given its own space on a shelf. It amplifies its quality and importance, and definitely improves its perceived value. This is a very successful design in my opinion. What are your guys’ thoughts?
