Vinyl’s Mix is a minimalist interior space designed by Japan-based designer Sides Core. The interior space has a distinctive grid layout on the concrete floor, delineated by a pastel green outline. Furniture pieces are laid out according to the grid, and have subtle pastel green edges that correlate with the outlines.

Even more peculiar, one side of the space contains the salon while the rest is composed of furniture with design books laid out. There is also a distinctive vinyl record player situated in the middle of the space. I can’t say I’ve ever seen anything like this before. I’ve visited a few shops on the Lower East Sid which have some atypical Bohemian-styled interiors, but Vinyl’s Mix is pretty foreign to me. It doesn’t mean I don’t love the space any less – if anything, it gives the interior a characteristic charm. I love the white and light wood combination as much in interiors as I do products.
