MachiMachi is a minimalist store interior located in Aichi, Japan, designed by Airhouse. The building features a white metal facade, formerly occupied by a laundromat. The existing structure was supported by weak materials, thus causing slight deflection and distortion on the floors and walls. As a result, the architects carried out a structural renovation that involved adding beams and additional hardware.
