AA Stool is a minimal design created by Japan-based designer Torafu Architects. Made of Canadian Red Cedar, AA Stool was produced in collaboration with Workshop Ishinomaki, a place of manufacturing within the Miyagi Prefecture. Torafu’s previous design, Sky Deck, was manufactured there as well.

By making diagonal cuts at the leg, the stool has independent support for the seat. One can stack the stools horizontally to form a bench-like design. The name “AA” was given to the stool due to the fact that, when extended, the legs formed the shape of the letter “A” when viewed from the side.
