Barnes House is a minimalist home located in London, England, designed by Fraher Architects. The project is a refurbishment and extension on an single family home. The client wanted to remodel the existing space, and extend upwards to accomodate a master bedroom with views over the garden. (6)

Barnes House is a minimalist home located in London, England, designed by Fraher Architects. The project is a refurbishment and extension on an single family home. The client wanted to remodel the existing space, and extend upwards to accomodate a master bedroom with views over the garden.

“The proposals look to open up the ground floor level of accommodation, to encourage a fluid and active space inhabited by all the family.  The spaces become more private as you rise through the building reaching the haven of the master suite.”

I love the skylight that overhangs the kitchen and dining area. It gives the space an ample amount of natural lighting and a nice view, but maintains privacy as well.
