Name: Eels Nest

Designer: Anonymous Architects

Location: Los Angeles, California

Eels Nest is a minimal loft located in Los Angeles, California, designed by Anonymous Architects. The name comes from the Japanese translation of narrow lots that are within 3 to 15 meters in width. The architects designed vertically with as much simplicity as possible. The roof deck has views that extend out as far the Hollywood sign.

This excites me. I know it’s only going to be a matter of time before the efficiency and aesthetics of Japanese architecture start seeping into our designs. In my opinion, a great home design not only has the looks, but it needs to maximize its resources: space, natural lighting, and sustainable materials.
