Gatehouse IPKW is a minimal home located in Amhem, The Netherlands designed by NL Architects. One of the kyes to the success of the IPKW is the safety policy; the premises are under permanent surveillance. The park is fenced and features a porter's lodge. Visitors, employees and suppliers find their way to the terrain via this reception that is open 24/7. All visitors are registered and announced and subsequently directed to their destination. (1)

In the downstairs lobby, people can get information, directions, or prepare for their appointments and grab a snack or newspaper. The upper box is clad in retro-reflective film. A mind-blowing counterintuitive inversion unfolds: the film has a black daytime appearance, but reflects white at night.
