Location: Kawasaki, Japan

Gotencho Apartment is a minimalist house located in Kawasaki, Japan, created by Manabu + Arata / NAYA Architects. We’ve featured NAYA Architects works in the past, and they have a very noticeable style that defines their minimalist works. In this particular project, the architects created a complex of four buildings, each having eight units within.

With open space in between the buildings, the courtyard serves as a zone for social interaction, and makes the site appear as though it were a small village. The exterior facades are characterized with galvanized steel sheets made in three different colors.
