Name: Hidden House
Designer: Teatum + Teatum
Location: London, England
Hidden House is a minimalist home located in London, England, designed by Teatum + Teatum. The residence is formed between existing buildings using left over space. The rear elevation encompasses a shining surface with embedded silica carbide particles, which act as a mask. The doors are made of steel and laser-cut to exact specifications.
“Living spaces interface across the central lightwell, allowing bedrooms and living areas to overlap and connect. This interface between spaces seeks the opportunity for programmes to infect one another.”
The first thing that caught my attention on this amazing dwelling were the perforated steel doors. I also love the emptiness and mysterious nature of the buildings facade. There are no windows in the home, but instead skylights are used to illuminate the interior space.
