House 0605 is a minimal home located in Nicosia, Cyprus, designed by Simpraxis Architects. The house was designed for a young couple and their daughter, and is located in the outskirts of Nicosia. The home is considered a “half plot” in which two distinct residences are built on the same plot and share a wall.

The challenge faced by the architects was to provide a connection between the interior and external environment. As a result, retractable shading, sliding perforated metal panels, and innumerable windows allow the focus of the home to be as much indoors as it is outdoors. Many functions of the home, such as the living area and kitchen, surround the outside courtyard, which encourages movement into the outdoor space.
