House KE12 is a minimalist home located in Memmingen, Germany, designed by SoHo Architektur. The structure is two units, and has the visual representation of a typical townhouse. Stairs located in the center of the residence separate the two units apart, yet simultaneously acts as an access area for both homes.

A flexible living environment can be found on the upper levels which include a garden, balcony, and rooftop terrace. These amenities allow the residents to experience a countryside life whilst living in the middle of a sprawling city. I love how the architects were able to retain the traditional look of the townhouse. What looks inconspicuously mundane from the outside, the home’s interior is strikingly modern and beautiful.
