Name: House in Untersee
Designer: Biehler Weith Associated
Location: Untersee, Germany
Untersee is a minimalist home designed by Germany-based architects, Biehler Weith Associated. The building is characteristic of its extended second-floor terrace overlooking the seascape. The entire building, both exterior and most of the interior, is comprised of concrete.
Although the exterior facade has a cold temperament, I think it contrasts perfectly with cozy minimalist interior. I love how the angles coming off from the ground floor to the second floor parallel the stairs. The extended terrace is also amazing; aesthetically, it’s what defines the modernism in this building, but also provides shade from direct sunlight on the ground floor.
