Name: House Like Village
Designer: Marc Koehler Architects
Location: Amsterdam, The Netherlands
House Like Village is a minimal home located in Amsterdam, designed by Marc Koehler Architects. The building was completely transformed into a residential building, and has spectacular views of the water. The space is divided in such a way that smaller “villages” are created within. The architect describes it as a group of smaller houses inside the house. A few spaces, such as the bedrooms and bathrooms, were condensed to give way to a larger living area.
I have written about some pretty amazing interiors, but this is definitely one of the most intriguing spaces I’ve come across. First of all, the view is ridiculous. Take a look at some of the pictures and you’ll know what I’m talking about because it’s pretty magical. Second, those tall ceilings are to die for. This is the type of space I would love to both work and live in. What do you guys think?
