Kirchplatz Office and Residence is a minimalist home located in Muttenz, Switzerland, designed by Oppenheim Architecture + Design. The design is based on the renovation of a historic farmhouse near the city center. The renovation converted the space into an office for an architectural firm, a community meeting space, and an adjacent private residence.

The architects went out of their way to create new openings on the original structure in order to provide more natural lighting for the interior space. Through the use of MINERGIE construction standards, the architects were able to achieve an energy efficient building with the use of solar panels and sustainable materials. The residential portion of the home is a 3-story house with the bedrooms on the top floor, the kitchen and dining room on the ground floor, and the children’s bedrooms below ground.
